Chris is a dedicated physiotherapist with a special interest in temporomandibular disorders (TMD), jaw dysfunction, and orofacial pain. He graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Monash University and is passionate about treating musculoskeletal conditions. Through his clinical experiences and ongoing learnings, Chris developed a strong interest in TMD after seeing firsthand how accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment can significantly improve patients’quality of life. This led him to join the team at Melbourne TMJ & Facial Pain Centre, where he gained additional training and certification in the Goralsky Craniomandibular Method™ (GCMM), equipping him with specialised skills in the assessment and management of jaw, facial, and related conditions.
Chris is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment and places strong emphasis on identifying the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, rather than simply managing symptoms. He works closely with his patients to help them understand their condition and empowers them with practical strategies to support long-term improvement.
Chris has also gained valuable experience working in community settings with paediatric populations and people living with disabilities. This has shaped his understanding of the complexity of different conditions and the way multiple factors – physical, behavioural and environmental – can interact to influence pain and function. This broader perspective allows him to take a more comprehensive and individualistic approach to patient care.
As a multilingual clinician, Chris is also fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin and is able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients, making his care more accessible and personalised.
Outside of the clinic, Chris enjoys staying active and values movement as an important part of overall health. You will often find him at a bouldering gym or a local skate park.
